Random Pics

I found these pictures on my mom's camera and wanted to post them...this is my grandad with Addilyn. He loves his grandbabies! And we love him too!
This was from vacation. What is going on with keatyn's hair?
Do you see that Addilyn has quickly surpassed Dryver in size? We go on the 30th for our 2month check up and I can't wait to find out how much she's grown. Healthy girl!
She fell asleep at the table just like this...I'm not even kidding!

Vacation at Beavers Bend

We got back last Sunday from our vacation with my family and it was quite fun. Here are just a few of the highlights.
Cotton candy at the train...she loved it, but I didn't like the clean up much!
So you move to East Texas and this is what you get...my whole family in camo! What!?
I love these people!
And these too...I am one proud mama! And a very grateful wife!
I opted not to put the cheesy one of us kissing...it wasn't that romantic...we were sweating like you wouldn't believe. It was soooooo hot and humid on the morning we left!
Ok, this was scary, but turned out to be the sweetest pictures we took. I LOVE THIS!!!!

We needed to stop for lunch and only made it to Winnsboro...that is only about 30 mins from Lindale. Are you kidding me...we couldn't find a roadside park, so we ate in the parking lot of a Winnsboro school. Lunch was good though! Keatyn was little disappointed because we could see a playground, but couldn't get to it.

Addilyn and Dryver enjoyed the lake...can't you tell!
We went on a fun little train ride. At the end, you actually felt like you were on a runaway mine train. It was pretty fun! And anyone that has an infant needs to invest in the Ultimate Baby Wrap!
Our little family.
There has to be a least one melt down per trip...right?
All in all, our trip was quite fun. We relaxed...and it was just what we needed!

Addilyn is 2 months old!!!

Keatyn loves her baby sis!
Addilyn is smiling and "talking"!
I know, you don't have to say it...she looks just like her daddy.
Aren't they cute!

We celebrated month number 2 with a dip in the pool. It was tons of fun!
Addilyn is a jewel. Keatyn adores her, as do we. She is a sleeper, an eater (can't you see it in her cheeks?) and she is really pretty laid back. She's been sleeping soundly through the night since week 5 and really only cries when she needs something. She is very pleasant and makes life with two, so enjoyable. Keatyn is a big helper and has really done well with adjusting to being a big sister and not being the baby anymore.

Addilyn's milestones:

eats 5 ounces at a feeding (little porker)

smiles in response to us

coos and really tries hard to talk to us

can roll to her side

sleeps really good

a great swimmer (not really, but they don't do a whole heck of a lot at 2 months, so I needed something else to write)

She is a blessing!

A quote I stole...

I stole this quote from a dear friend of mine and I hope that she doesn't mind. I had to...it resonated with me beyond belief. I often look at my life this way. I often look at my life and think to myself, I'll do better when I'm in this circumstance or this situation or I will be happier when this is the senario. Well, as I read this quote, I began to see it...I began to see that I am wasting it, my life, and if I'm not careful, tomorrow will not come and I will have regrets. By God's grace, each day will make sense and I will live it to it's absolute fullest and look at my life and realize it is a gift to be used. Not wasted! I am blessed!
For a long time it seemed to me that life was about to begin—real life. But there was always something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt still to be paid. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life. This perspective has helped me to see there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way. So treasure every moment you have and remember that time waits for no one.-Souza
Thank you Corrie for your post!!!
